История

Sponsor Tatiana Mendes in her first participation in the Freedive World Championship.

Hello, My name is Tatiana Mendes, I started freediving almost 4 years ago.
My dream would be to compete at the World Championship this coming September in France.

To learn what is fueling me to compete for the first time this September in my home country, representing my country of origin, Cape Verde, you have to understand my story. Freediving is more than a sport for me and has helped me overcome issues I’ve battled my whole life: anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. It liberated me and helped me discover the inner depths of my being and those that came before me.

Training as a full-time athlete for the next eight months is my biggest dream. I wouldn’t have to give up anything but instead, would gain anything to devote all of my time to prepare for this competition. I also think this chance would inspire people with similar struggles to reach beyond their limitations. And my participation would bring more diversity within the sport. Participating on a world stage would amplify this message and show that we can accomplish anything we set our mind to.
